Our Curriculum and Philosophy: 

We believe students learn best when they are interested, engaged and hands-on. We use a thematic curriculum that is driven by a combination of student interest, District learning objectives, and State Learning Standards. Our curriculum is designed to supplement the school day and tie into classroom learning when possible. Our lessons are matched to PA State Learning Standards.  You may have heard "Play is the Work of the Child." At Crossroads we know this is true!  While we "play" - do experiments, paint, craft, cook, students are learning about math, science, art, communication, sharing, cooperation, and much, much more!

Before School 7:00 - 8:30 am
Our Before School enrichment program serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Our day begins at 7:00 am, breakfast is available until 7:30 am. Students have free play time, as well as a daily theme activity before heading off to school. Transportation to school is provided by WSSD buses.

 

After School/Extended Day K  (K-5th grade)  3:30 pm - 6:00 pm:
We offer After School Enrichment programs for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We have students from all three elementary schools each day. Our program includes both structured, teacher-led activities, student choice activities, outside play, supervised homework time and a healthy snack each day.   We offer a daily themed learning activity, free play time and center activities to round out our day. The program closes at 6:00 pm.
